$in $ity Christmas

It's been quite the week @ home. I had ta visit "the tree" in the city before my departure, however. It was absolutely beautiful. However, I expected it to be bigger, but then again I expect most things in life to be bigger (slut). Anyway, I had a cute outfit on one day in which the two female workers at Brookstone commented on. My mom was like, "She lives in New York City." As if that's an excuse for an innate sense of style. I'm hurt, Mom. Anyway, I went over to the cousins' home for the holiday, and I had a grand time checking out those amazing Christmas lights and playin' wit' dem Christmas popperz!

Revolutionary Road should just be called Revolutionary Extremely Depressing. It had to have been an alternate title.

How Jews Spend Their Christmas

The holidays bring out my talented side. It's a gift.

There's Hope

"Amazon Eve is the world’s tallest model at 7-0″ tall."

I mean...If Amazon Eve is the world's tallest model, I can make it as the world's smallest model. Do I sense a 2010 resolution coming on?

Tootsie Rosenberger...

Who does my dad think he is...sending me a picture of my puppy, Tootsie, @ home? I don't think Tootsie would untag this were she to have a facebook.

Horrible Jew

These past couple days have been FULL of holiday treats. I'm taking the term "holiday" lightly because I'm really referring to the "holiday" trumper CHRISTMAS. I almost feel guilty for spending so much energy on yuletide cheer. Hannukah starts this week, and I don't even know when..."Oy to the world". But Judaism will have to wait till the annual Rosenberger Hannukah Party on the 20th, so let the Christmas festivities commence. In the words of Lady Gaga, "my Christmas tree's delicious".

Hoe Boy

Dear Blogreaders (Jacob Bressers),

It has come to my attention that I have not written anything in about week. Listen, I take full responsibility for neglecting YOU all (Jacob Bressers), but I am just about exhausted. It is my own fault. You know, GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN. And now, here I am in the library on my Monday off from school, just writin' an 8-10 page paper on the Hamlet opera. My eyes actually hurt from the four hours of sleep I retained last night, and I am just moving through it all, riding on my faith (just like Miley Cyrus AND Jacob Bressers). Normal posts will be running soon. Just give me a break...and by that I mean, BREAK ME OFF A PIECE O' DAT KIT KAT BAR (all rights reserved, etc.). I'm sorry (Jacob Bressers).

Love you long time,
Molly

Frou Frou- Dumbing Down of Love

While writing a speech regarding the effects of childhood obesity, I was reminded by my Rachael Yamagata Pandora just HOW MUCH I love this song.

Get Outta There, Scar-Jo!

WHOA. Scarlett Johansson was in Home Alone 3? Meh, me not having cable in my room forces me to know these things via TBS.

Elliot Smith- Pitseleh

Thank you, Miss Kiley Reid.

Circus + Carnival=Normalcy

This weekend I saw the dance show, went to Blockheads accompanied by five entrancing gay young gentleman, visited the Natural History Museum, Jason took me to the Big Apple Circus, AND I went to Carnival, a pretty decent club near Union Square (I'm spoiled with the bananas Las Vegas clubs). The only picture I took at Carnival would be the last one in which Krista and Jason were makin' out. I'll drink to that...and I did.

It's Almost Here...

The weeeeeekend (literally weeping while I say that)...What a week. Oy. One more paper, a callback, and two or maaaaybe three class performances left till I get to plop my pretty little self down tomorrow night at Blockheads for some chips, salsa, and most importantly, MARGARITAS (plural plural plural). You can be sure that I will be updating you regularly on the rest of the weekend's random acts of leisure. *I will spare you the gruesome details of three paper and one presentation Sunday.

"Is butter a carb?"

Just makin' my lunch for the next few days...raw tofu and broccoli. I feel weird saying I enjoy this choice...I don't necessarily "enjoy" it as much as tolerate it. And a zero-calorie diet soda cheers to you!

Happy Birthday Yo Glo!

It's my mawm's birthday...A daughter never reveals her mother's age, but I think she is looking fantastic for how many years young she is:) I love mi madre so very much, and I miss her and her usual antics TERRIBLY. Cheers to quite a lady!

'Tis the Season for Gifting

I came across this lovely article during my Monday online travels:

...I'm thinkin' scrapbooks.Who's not?! (or fake glasses because everyone knows deep down that they crave a pair for those lonely nights at home)

Epic Saturday=Lazy Sunday

There is nothing I love more than an unplanned, unattached, pleasing New York Saturday full of friends and shenanigans. Highlights of the day: display jars full of jewels at Madewell, Topshop buy one, get one FREE sale, Radio City and Rockefeller Center (coaxing people to do tricks and fall on the ice) with Jason and his friend Dana who came in from Boston, and wine/lady talk with Rachel after work. Not pictured: The people I met along the way, a basket of fries at O'Lunney's Pub, and Rachel's pillow around 4 am.

Going Under

This is the response to my paper proposal I turned in for my Great Social Thinkers class. If you know me, you know that the mere thought of this class puts me in a state of misery. Apparently, when signing up for the course I didn't realize one had to have taken a sociology class previously. WHO THE HECK LET ME DO THIS? However, I DO love that she used the word "absolutely" in all her disdain.

Craigslist: Missed Connections

I found out tonight that there is a "Missed Connections" section on Craigslist...it's kind of dreamy in a way. This is one of my favs:

You're in DREAMGIRLS... - m4w

You're onstage in DREAMGIRLS. And I think you're possibly the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Beautiful voice, amazing stage presence. And just from seeing you there, I've developed a huge crush. Huge.

I know nothing will come of this, I just had to say it.

I DO!

When I think about my wedding, I imagine this is what it will sound like...with a little more bluegrass twang.

If Anyone Was Wondering Why I Was Crying On the Subway This Morning...

This song gets me EVERY time...

I'm Still Not Buying It

"Lady Gaga Will Hatch From an Egg for Her Monster Ball Tour."

Listen, Lady Gaga, I will listen to your music...but I cannot take much more of this tomfoolery.

My Week in Videos 'n Such

Me performing Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby Mcgee" at Marymount Manhattan College's POP ROCKS Wall-To-Wall. Directed by: Jason Gotay and Becky Geggat.

This is the end of Krista and Jason's "Alone" reinactment from the Wall-to-Wall POP ROCKS performance. Just a couple of kids, working their belt boxes.

Tammy Tuesdays

Listen. All I have to say is that during classes today, Jack, Rachel, and I ventured to the toy store around the corner for some Halloween shopping. Clearly we prefer tricks over treats.

Starving Artist Showcase

This is me saaaaangin' "Fools Fall in Love" from All Shook Up (and doing a lot of nervous arms) @ a cabaret during Marymount Manhattan's Homecoming weekend.

Please, feel free to ensue in a drinking game in which everyone takes a drink when I put my hands on my chest. Hope you're ready for a good time.

Downtown Livin' is the Life 4 Me

I'm getting my haircut today at the downtown Bumble & Bumble studio around West 13th and 9th...It's absolutely glorious ova here. I actually think I walked past an Urban Outfitters photo shoot. I didn't dare take pics of the operation, but it looked totes official, and there was a model wearing acid wash. Need I elaborate any further? Some Q.T. def needs to be spent with this portion of the Lower West Side.
