Tammy Tuesdays

Listen. All I have to say is that during classes today, Jack, Rachel, and I ventured to the toy store around the corner for some Halloween shopping. Clearly we prefer tricks over treats.

Starving Artist Showcase

This is me saaaaangin' "Fools Fall in Love" from All Shook Up (and doing a lot of nervous arms) @ a cabaret during Marymount Manhattan's Homecoming weekend.

Please, feel free to ensue in a drinking game in which everyone takes a drink when I put my hands on my chest. Hope you're ready for a good time.

Downtown Livin' is the Life 4 Me

I'm getting my haircut today at the downtown Bumble & Bumble studio around West 13th and 9th...It's absolutely glorious ova here. I actually think I walked past an Urban Outfitters photo shoot. I didn't dare take pics of the operation, but it looked totes official, and there was a model wearing acid wash. Need I elaborate any further? Some Q.T. def needs to be spent with this portion of the Lower West Side.

Slitted Pants Soiree!

Gina Gershon @ the opening night of Bye Bye Birdie. Her outfit is just as messy as her performance, so I hear.

Moving on...to "Mannequin"

We're now completely out of "Bright Lights..." territory, but once you start me on 80s movie musical montages, I JUST CAN'T STOP. Kim Cattrall pre "Sex and the City" days were her best days. And Andrew McCarthy, with those characteristically bulging eyes, is awkward perfection.

Broadway Musical?! "Teen Witch"

My search for an audition song has somehow turned into me simply watching this film...and then, this fell upon my lap. That's right, "Teen Witch: The Musical". Well, now I have no reason to think that a song from the movie isn't a completely appropriate option. I think I'm just going to go into my audition and present "Teen Witch in 10 Minutes". As far as I'm concerned, this is the only successful option. Even Blake Ewing, who beat out Michelle Tanner on "Full House" to be Yankee Doodle (who DOESN'T remember that episode?) is in it!

"My Finest Hour"...truly

Whilst searching for an audition song for the "Bright Lights, Big City" audition, I came across this gem of a clip. I can't even begin to recall the countless moments spent watching "Teen Witch" as a child and thinking...dang, I can't wait till my hair looks that good. This video's also got me thinking that I want a tutu pretty bad. However, I don't think this song is gonna make the cut.

Whole Foods X-travaganza

Today, I took a trip to the new Whole Foods on the upper-west side. What a delight! I was ecstatic to find a slew of new products to add to my weekly shopping list which include: He'Brew- The Chosen Beer (an absolutely rich idea), Aunt Flo PMS pills (I will probably take these with or without the symptoms, just for kicks. The branding puts me in an unbelievably happy mood.), and a Halloween Venus Fly-trap (get it while the season's hot!). Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go snack on a 100 calorie pack of bamboo. Nom nom nom.

Thursdays with Molly

Maggie: You could just go to the public library to use a computer.

Molly: Yea, but there's only that one in midtown.

Maggie: What?

Molly: Wait...is there more than one public library in the city?

Maggie: Are you serious?

So What's Happening Is...

My computer has been broken for like...two months. And I have been lacking a Blackberry for about a year now. But within the next two weeks I will be attaining a fixed computer and a brand new precious gem of a Blackberry. In conclusion, more blogging than ever will be happening. Thank the sweet lord because I have so many things to share with you...including videos from dance class. Oh, the anticipation.
