ALERT! MUSICAL THEATRE BOYS! ALERT!

This song is so beautiful. I think you should do yourself a favor and watch the entire song cycle on youtube called "Whisper, Love" written by Andre Catrini, a student at CCM. There are some really gorgeous pieces in there, and I'm sure if you're a MAN (let's be real...he probably prefers this gender over the ladies), promising the composer some sort of sexual favor, he would allow you access to his sheet music. Hop to it...I'm actually serious.

PS: You realize how small the musical theatre world is after understanding the composer grew up with a friend of mine, one performer crushed on a boy I know in high school while this boy preferred girls at the time, and one performer is from my hometown of Las Vegas. The "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" rule truly applies here.

True Life: I'm a Marionette, Hard to be Wood Part 3

Dare I say this is the BEST video yet in our exclusive web series? Kelley "the costumer" has been highly overlooked in the previous episodes...and from her fantastic commentary here, this surely won't be her last video appearance.

A. Wang Undawears!

This spring, I would not mine acquiring a pair or two of boy short undies and sports bras (there's a one-strap one that I just gotta have) by Alexander Wang. Throw in a pair of those leopard peep-toes, and I'm set to romp all over this town.

Brendan Goes Bananas

Brendan Fraser is back in a big way ladies and gentleman...he's better than Bedazzled, more humorous than Monkeybone, gutsier than The Mummy...he's come back to us a little more mentally challenged than before! HURRAH!

Wait A Gosh Darn Second

The Hangover won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture- Musical or Coooomedy? I only tuned in after somebody texted me that Sandra Bullock had just won for The Blindside. Now that was something I had to see to believe. But I missed this little tidbit of superb info! Well, I'LL BE! And Ashley Olsen, Justin Bartha's lady, was looking all kinds fierce in head-to-toe blue, celebrating alongside her winning man. I want that dress, and I also want to know if this win officially makes The Hangover Oscar winning material. Hilarious? Absolutely. OSCARS? KA-KA-KA-KARAZY KATHY!

True Life: I'm a Marionette, Hard to be Wood

I think everyone needs to check out what's been going on behind the scenes of the "My Son Pinocchio" rehearsal process. This is a catch up post, but be expecting a new TRUE LIFE: I'm a Marionette, Hard to be Wood every 2-3 days. Thank you, and you're so welcome in advance.

MLK Day

I just found out the "Pants on the Ground" contestant from American Idol was a Civil Rights activist who marched alongside Martin Luther King Jr. Enjoy your day off. The sun is shining. Go out, and love someone.

Bobs Are Back

So, I'm sitting at a lovely gay bar called "Barage", and its like, why wouldn't I write a blog post right this second? So anyway, last night I went out with a gaggle of lovely ladies and gentleman, and a lovely blessing in disguise was when Rachel got her hair stuck in her coat. Her fake bob was as cute as a cinnamon stick in a hot cup of peppermint tea.

The Name of the Game: 21

Last weekend a group of us went to explore the West Village. We started at James' apartment, and our drinking game of "21" was continued at the Corner Bistro. There we met some nice new people named Naomi, Jordan, and "that Asian lady Jordan made out with during the game". Needless to say what proceeded to ensue included stealing holiday decorations from "The Cubby Hole" (the lesbian bar next door), racy lap dances, and a plethora of numbers given away to people on shoddy napkins. Can't wait for a repeat.

RILEY BO BILEY!

I die. This is my best friend. Doesn't he look handsome? He lives in Evansville, Indiana. We share a passion for fashion. Whilst perusing google for his blog...I FOUND THIS GEM OF AN ARTICLE WHICH HE ABSENT-MINDEDLY FORGOT TO TELL ME ABOUT. My favorite quote? Obviously it's:

"McIlveen’s most unique accessory was given to him as a gift. This accessory is one of a kind: a vibrantly colored backpack that can be spotted from a mile away."

I gave him that gift...I gave him that gift! Aw, I had a little piece in this fashion maven's fashion published life. My second fav part in the article is about his scarves, but I'll let you read that for yourself, if you're so inclined.

Dear John

So, I just finished reading Dear John by Nicholas Sparks in anticipation for the movie. HEY, HEY, HEY NOW...No matter how brooding I seem, I'm a real girl, and I cherish the warmth of a great love story. Now, I'm not going to give anything away but to say it is quite the depressing ending. I feel drained. I mean, the ending was perfect imperfection. Sparks is also responsible for "The Notebook", and I always wished for that story to end simply when the characters of Noah and Ali realized the were perfect for each other, without the whole future morbid dementia scenes, and so on and so forth. Again, great ending, but like ideally being that's NOT what this "happy ending" princess wants. I still CANNOT wait for the movie, and on the plus side there are a few paragraphs which described the chiseled Army grunt body of Channing Tatum. Looks like my x-ray vision glasses will be put to good use on February 5th.

Dishevled

It's been a long 48 hours from Las Vegas to settling back in wonderful NYC. I feel as shleepy as this girl looks. This model is giving me a lot of the, "I've only had vodka and soup crackers this whole weekend, and now I'm going to go find a cloud to sleep on" look. In this case, the model and I are sharing a few similar life choices. I'll let you decide on which. Discuss.

Think-A-Link

I think Christina Hendricks of Mad Men is super hot, and she's got a pretty big set of boobs on her. Maybe I should have kept mine? But then I think of my rigorous dance schedule, wearing a bra 24 hours a day since age 12, suffocating myself while doing certain yoga poses, being subjected to very very stretchy clothing ...and I ultimately digress.
