The Apple Doesn't Fall Far...

My mom used to be in some sort of pseudo bandy-singy performance group in high school. She's the first lady on the left, standing, in the navy jumpsuit. DIVA. While the aesthetic of this group is already a dream come true, my only other hope is that Moms was great good friends with the guy smokin a pipe and wielding a trumpet down front.

En Vogue- Love You Crazy

You BET this is my fav holiday song...It's a tinge of Christmas without any of the related themes. Perfect for this Jew-ISH girl.

All I Want for Chrismukkah...

Alexis Canter "Lucky Half" necklace in silver...just because I'm always lookin' to feel/get lucky:

Large rolling/matching medium duffle which will, falanges crossed, inspire me to make money to travel. Plus, my XL yellow L.L. Bean purchased when I was, yay, nine (?) is gettin' tired and gives me calf bruises when I use it. Who wants to go anywhere with that kinda baggage?!:

Chloe Perfume. This needs no explanation. Oh yea, except that I'm FANCY:

Reebok Run/Easytones. I'm going to say they have to be metallic because again, I'm FANCY (and it's going to take a little bit of sparkle to pump up the class of an easytone):

And, last but not least, a simple computer. Now that all sound has officially departed from this Dell gem, I think it's time to call it quits. Though, I will miss the inspirational witty rapport that we share from time to time (not saying I'm getting a new computer, but I'm just sayin' there's a chance):

Tourist Quotes Part 2

I guess this doesn't have to be tourist specific, but I'd like to think the woman I had this exchange with wasn't even from planet earth:

Woman: (holding up an item in the home department, with bewilderment she speaks) WHAT IS THIS?!

Me: That's a dress for a little girl (said while thinking, "I wish I woulda told her it was a giant potholder")

Tourist Quotes Part 1

A lady standing in the middle of the 6 train along with two children and another mother accomplice:

Mother accomplice: "Hey, do you wanna sit down?"

Lady: "I like the challenge of trying to stand up. It's like surfin'!"

Get Fit Quick

I'm officially going back to the gym today...I better get there before my anxiety turns into a full blown attack.

Charity Work

Conversation between myself and my eighteen-year-old coworker, Chelsea:

Chelsea: Girl, we should go out tonight instead of being lame as hell.

Me: What? Where am I supposed to take you? You're eighteen.

Chelsea: How am I supposed to know? You figure it out. We could go to Dave and Busters...

Me: The only way we're doing that is if I can tell everyone that you're my little sister, I'm your big sister, and we're with the program.

Glow Pups

What? Glow-in-the-dark puppies are a scientific breakthrough?! They are, indeed. My dogs don't light up. I'm returning them. That ain't right.
So, this would be a cool gene to inject into Guide Dogs...Not only would the dogs be extremely identifiable, but the owner's could officially call them their Guiding Lights, and that's altogether a win-win. This is contingent upon them being exposed to infrared light a good portion of the time.

ZOINKS

I got up for an audition today...and all I wanted to do was cry.

Shellfish Thoughts...

I haven't gotten to do a lot of things that I want to do for a while. I'm not sure if living in New York City constitutes for me missing out on these things...that's what Mom always says. I'm always like, "I want to do this...", and she's always like, "Yea, but you live in New York City." That's not an answer. That's a true statement (GOD, MOM). Some of these things include:

Going to Disneyland (hey...everyone deserves to be at the happiest place on earth at least once every, eh, two years. The happiness probably extends that length of time.)

Seeing my family (I haven't been home in 9 months. I could have been impregnated, had the child, and no one would have known...too long.)

Going to Coachella OR Sasquatch OR Lolla OR Bonnaroo (everyone deserves a little skin on skin contact, expensive water, and lots of good music)

Visiting the brosef in California for a bit (now that we're older, he's a lot cooler ,and I want to kick it, have some beers, and go to a PACIFIC OCEAN beach)

ETC.

Essentially, I get that whole "I'm takin' a year off from college" thing, but the truly upsetting part is that essentially I AM TAKING A YEAR OFF FROM COLLEGE, EXCEPT I'M NOT TAKING THE YEAR TO DO ANYTHING COOL. My girl Ariel said that after she graduated from college she went to Southeast Asia for six months just to screw around, and I was like, "EXACTLY." There will be some changes made in Hot T'Molly Land...OH, there will be some changes made.

Shallow Hal's Got Me Thinkin...

So, remember how zexy Jack Black was in Airborne? Yea, Airborne. Now that was a classy film that I am excited to have resurfaced for you...let it invade your thoughts. GO AHEAD.

OH MAH GAH.

I love The Selby. It's essentiallylike, don't mind if I do creep in on the spaces where people reside. That means I can't wait to purchase the book for myself for the holidays. And then, he teams up with ASOS?! Reader's Digest: The project is defined as shooting the models in their own environment. Of course you can "shop the look" on the ASOS website in order to promote their clothing sales, but I just like the pretty thangs in their spaces. Who knew models had time to be interior designers? Can I has shop homes, pwease?

Meet Codi...

She is one of my co-workers at Anthropologie.

She has a great head of hair.

She is on the home team with me.

We like boys.

She has a sort of old-soul kind of peace about her.

She is awesome.

Please, try to tell me I'm wrong after reading her blog:

.codi does pirouettes.

Passion Pit- Dreams (Cranberries Cover)

And people are always confused by how the nerds get the girls...they cover songs by The Cranberries. That's all.

Maria Mena- It Must Have Been Love (Roxette Cover)

Ooooo...this is lovely.

GET WITH THIS PROGRAM!

How have I not put this on here yet? It's high time you see this one, people. This brings me back to the days of when I was a young hip-hop enthusiast. I dilligently attended hip-hop class every Friday night before Shabbat Services...WORD. Anyway, I wonder if this woman is still alive. I know that's awful, and we can all hope for the best, but let's be real, she more than likely got herself in a whole mess of trouble at one of those clubs where nobody was wearing baggy pants...or sneakers.

The Crazies

Well, this is one of the weirdest blogs I've read in a while:

It's like...whoa, whoa, whoa, guys.

November Renovations

Last night, the loft bed came down. I'm not trying to bag on anybody who has a loft bed (or am I?), as sometimes it's a necessary component to living in a walk-in-closet that NYC tries to pass off as a bedroom. My issue was simply that the last time I had a "loft" bed was when I was six-years-old, and it had a fort (WITH DOUBLE DOORS!) down below where I used to watch countless hours of Bobby's World and Shining Time Station before headin' off to day camp. So, let's be real, everytime I climbed into it, I felt like I was that six-year-old girl again, and I'm not...though, I do wish Bobby's World was still a relevant past time. Anyway, I bought a bed frame, and I currently reside very near to the ground...it's possibly a metaphor for how I've recently been trying to live my life.

(I don't remember where this picture is from, but I do want my room to give off an air like this.)

Jamie Lidell- Your Sweet Boom

WARNING: I'll probably be posting every song from the Compass album in the next couple weeks...it's something I've been quite infatuated with as of late. This song starts upping the sexy halfway through. Enjoy that sexy.

Wii Wins

Johnny Napolitano just posted this video on the facebook, and I could not stop laughing. The comment section underneath reads:

Ryan: Wait...is this a game?

Johnny: "Only if you have downs syndrome"

Ryan: "lol"

Me: "I make sparkle sounds when I dance too"

About my comment? It's sadly a bold faced lie. However, I regularly dream about a magical place where there are sparkle sound induced dance movements. That's real talk.

Mumford & Sons- White Blank Page

Mmmmm Monday morning rips your heart out, doesn't it?
