I pray you've already realized that MTV's I Used to be Fatis the best new show on television. I also hope you agree that A&E's Heavy got a little too serious too fast, especially after a depressing helping of Intervention which airs just before Heavy. Sorry A&E television for adults, but MTV got it right this time. Besides the every once-in-a-while tantrum from the spoiled teen who for sure, definitely, totally is "gonna throw up" if they don't stop working out this second, it's inspirational television at its best...AND Oprah didn't lay a finger on it. This week's episode features overweight teen, Jordan and his too-pumped trainer, Joey. However, Joey takes on the dual role of trainer and mentor to Jordan whose mom has struggled with alcohol addiction for the greater part of his life. I know. It's a good one. You know what else is good? When trainer Joey teaches Jordan his trademark move, "the boom", which he uses to attract scores of women(?). I don't know what it is, but I have a feeling that this Joey character is going to become (besides my boyfriend) a really big deal. Please, do yourself a snow day favor, and watch this episode on mtv.com. Above, is a sneak peek clip of Joey which I'm using to effectively woo you.
